THE SOUTH indian kitchen is a South Indian restaurant in Berlin-Moabit — serving the authentic flavours of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Founded by Subraja, THE SOUTH was born from a simple conviction: that South Indian food — with its ancient grain fermentation, its spice intelligence, its regional diversity — deserves a place at Berlin's table without compromise.
We serve dosas from a cast iron tawa seasoned with tradition. Our sambar is made fresh every morning. Our filter kaapi is brewed the way it has been in Tamil Nadu for generations.

Slow-cooked, spice-layered, built from scratch. Every curry starts with fresh grinding, tempering, and patience.
